Jack Blattner is an associate in the firm’s Bay Area office in the political law section.

He advises corporations, non-profits, trade associations, political committees, and government entities on election, campaign finance, lobbying, ethics, and ballot measure laws, with a particular focus on local legislative government.

Prior to joining Nielsen Merksamer, Mr. Blattner worked as the Director of Public Policy at the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, as an attorney at another political law firm, and as a legislative advocate for California Common Cause.

While pursuing his law degree, Mr. Blattner was a research fellow at the California Constitution Center, which published his article on resolving conflicts in the purpose language of initiative statutes.

Mr. Blattner earned his Juris Doctorate from the UC Berkeley School of Law, and graduated cum laude from Claremont McKenna College, earning his bachelor’s degree in government.

He is a member of the California State Bar.
